The team at DAP are once again pleased to announce that planning permission was recently granted for the erection of new flats on top of an existing block at Poplar Grove in Wembley. The scheme although not complicated, involved negotiations with Brent Council planners in reducing the scale of the development.
Thankfully we were able to negotiate well on behalf of our client and managed only a reduction in one of flat sizes from a 1-bed to a studio flat. The planners raised concerns over parking and requested additional information beyond that advised at pre-application stage.
However, thanks to our extensive contacts with various industry professionals and relationships built up over the years we were able to produce an excellent transport assessment with a supporting statement by our in-house senior planners. The final result was the grant of permission following a committee hearing with very few conditions! Naturally the client is pleased with the result and has instructed us to do the same for a block they own next door, another happy DAP Client who was a pleasure to work with!
